As the late Adrian Rogers said, "you cannot multiply wealth by dividing it."

An economics professor at a local college made a statement that he had never failed a single student before, but had once failed an entire class. That class had insisted that Obama's socialism worked and that no one would be poor and no one would be rich, a great equalizer. The professor then said, "OK, we will have an experiment in this class on Obama's plan". All grades would be averaged and everyone would receive the same grade so no one would fail and no one would receive an A... After the first test, the grades were averaged and everyone got a B. The students who studied hard were upset and the students who studied little were happy. As the second test rolled around, the students who studied little had studied even less and the ones who studied hard decided they wanted a free ride too so they studied little. The second test average was a D! No one was happy. When the 3rd test rolled around, the average was an F. As the tests proceeded, the scores never increased as bickering, blame and name-calling all resulted in hard feelings and no one would study for the benefit of anyone else. All failed, to their great surprise, and the professor told them that socialism would also ultimately fail because when the reward is great, the effort to succeed is great but when government takes all the reward away, no one will try or want to succeed. Could not be any simpler than that. (Please pass this on) Remember, there is a test coming up. The mid-term election in 2010!

2}Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds, ³because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance.

Trials from Heaven.
The past 10 days have been probably some of the toughest we have been through in many years. Many have been asking what is going on and I have yet to be able to get to a computer to put this all down. But will try to put down in words what happened to our family.

1. Maria has seizure
At about 3 in the morning, our baby girl woke up with uncontrollable breathing, a frightening sound from the lungs that cannot be put in words. An hour later she was having a seizure and we went into a frenzy.... It has not slowed down until this moment. Maria was taken by ambulance to a German hospital who simply put her in a bed next to 2 other very sick children who were in bed with their mothers. After a complete night and day into another night, the doctor finally decided that she might have Pneumonia...no tests...no medicine. We were introduced to socialized medicine. I now have a clear picture of what it is like. We got her out of there and drove 90 minutes to Landstuhl American hospital. They not only took our daughter in, did x-rays, took blood gave her an IV, but they gave the parents TLC with water and simply listening to our issues. Dr. Acevedo took great care to ensure she had all the medicine needed.

2. Larry and Mona collapse
2 days later, Mona and I were feeling very sick and trying to entertain the three little ones as the teens were gone for awhile. We were having a hard time standing up and moving around. Finally, I started the car and started getting the kids ready for another 90 minute drive, but collapsed and felt very week. Mona did at the same time. I happened to have a phone on me and was able to dial the church and neighbors, Jon and Irina for help. They came over and called the ambulance. The doctor arrived with the ambulance, gave us IVs, told us our lungs sounded like Pneumonia and she sent us to the hospital. The kids were curious but taken care of.
The Socialized medicine hit again. We were told that we had slight infections and to "go home and drink some soup and tea."
So Michelle and Ron came over to help. We had to take a taxi home and walk up our mountain with Pneumonia because of the snow....

3. Brandon has severe pain
The next day, we receive a call from the youth center. Brandon is vomiting and is in extreme pain. A nurse happened to be there. We rushed him, still weak and sick, to the hospital...German. The doctor did all the tests and was very concerned. He was sent to his room overnight. The next day they wanted to do some severe testing. Again, we left the hospital and took the 90 minute drive. 3 hours later, the doctors freak out over the CAT scan and tell us some horrific news...cannot share. Brandon is still in the hospital and will be fine. His condition was nearly 10 years old in the making and could have been deadly. Brandon's nurses were phenomenal...especially Krisitin Ponton from Virginia...she became a big sister to Brandon...pictured here. Brandon loves her.

4. Larry and Mona get checked
Finally, the following day we visit the ER at 4 a.m. since our son was there. The doctor freaked out and said, "Your lungs sound terrible." We had Pneumonia. Remember, drink tea. We were put on severe antibiotics. The church families, Niel and PJ and Tammy and RJ took care of the children and we simply stayed there for 2 days.

5. Car accident
Brandon was doing better so we decided to go home. 10 minutes on the Autobahn, we saw sparks and then a tire fly in the air. I tried to get out of the way, but the tire flew up and smashed Mona's side sending her into shock. She was taken back to the American hospital by ambulance as we tried to figure out what to do with the car and the police and everything. Every German we met went overboard to help us. It was perfect. People were praying. The car was towed by ADAC, a gate guard at the base found a taxi with a late night rental place. The truck company that lost the tire...well, the owner was gracious and told us whatever we needed they would take care of it. Finally, we were able to drive home at 3 a.m., discover that our son had the key to the house...an hour later, we got back, opened the door and collapsed in our bed.

6. Church
Today, the church...Calvary Chapel Wiesbaden...brought us up and prayed... There were prayers with tears...everyone suffered with us and for us. It was a true picture of the bride of Christ. We became a close family through all of this. God did a great work in it all. The youth group created a board of love for Brandon. On that board are sticks of gum to represent the greatest thing Brandon had in the hospital...GUM.. See he could not eat or drink anything but medicine for four days.

7. Divine appointments
In the middle of all the chaos....all of the heartache, God sent OKINAWA. As many know, if we could go back to Okinawa today, we probably would. Our hearts are there. Well, a lady walked into Brandon's hospital room with a dog...Red Cross dog. His name was Ken Chan... who was registered in Okinawa... The lady lived in Okinawa for 5 years... we loved it. Brandon was smiling as he pet the dog...who was so kind. It was a moment we will never forget. She said she had not visited the hospital for 2 months...but today she came. WOW!! Praise the Lord!!!

So, the trials were many, but God still gets the glory. I had some thoughts coming through this. When visiting the book store here, they have a religion section. There are only real Christian books there. The rest are from New Age people or from false prophets like Joel Olsteen. Their books sell because they have titles like "Your best life now" or How to have a happy life. Satan sold these same bill of tricks to Jesus. He told Jesus that He could have the whole world if he would bow down and worship him. Well, Jesus is God and bows to no one. Jesus, simple said "IT IS WRITTEN..." That means the Bible has power...it is God's word. Our bible tells us that true Christians will face trials and tribulations...but through them all REJOICE and be FULL OF JOY. Why? Because, that shows that we belong to Christ and He is with us and wants what is best for us...through trials. If I gave my boys everything they wanted without having to go through hard times for it...what would it be worth? It also shows them that I am their dad. They belong to me.

Thank you all for your prayers and kindness and support. We are truly blessed to be here among a great Christian family who supported us all the way through this... forgive me if you were not mentioned above, but supported.
And as always, if you have not prayed to receive Christ and you know that He is speaking to you...do it now before it is too late. He loves you.

He is well known for writing fiction books based on prophecies from the Bible...which, for some reason, the fiction becomes true within the year of publishing. Folks, I was watching an Atheist, famous guy, say that if we really believe that Christ is Lord and Hell is for those who don't accept them, then Christians should be "tackling guys as if they are about to get run over by a truck."

There are many who are on my friend's list on Facebook and who read my blog, by God's grace, who know that something is going on in the world... and are scared.

We know many in our own family who continue to pray to dead people instead of admitting they are all messed up and need a Savior...simply accepting Jesus Christ as their Lord of their life. We know many who continue to live for the world, instead of sharing Christ with others. We know many who said they will accept Christ later. I am begging you to see what is going on and realize you are one heartbeat away from meeting God. Will He tell you, "Go away, I never knew you." I certainly hope not. I feel like it is time to start tackling those we love so much. Why continue to live without Christ?

Here are some things to be aware of: Jesus is coming back to take His people home soon.

1. Earthquakes, Fires, Floods --- Since the year 2000, Earthquakes have gone from 5 major ones to 30 major ones in 2009, each bringing hundreds of thousands of deaths.

For men will be lovers of self, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, unloving, unforgiving, malicious gossips, without self-control, brutal, haters of good, treacherous, reckless, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of god; holding to a form of godliness, although they have denied its power; always learning and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth."

4. NEW AGE PHILOSOPHY - It is amazing how many people are claiming the book, The Shack, has finally explained who God really is, yet The Shack is from satan.

I Timothy 4:1-3 "But the spirit explicitly says that in later times some will fall away from the faith, paying attention to deceitful spirits and doctrines of demons.

5. 200,000,000 MILLION MAN ARMY FROM THE EAST -- China reached this in 1960 and they are friends with IRAN...

Revelation 9:16 "And the number of the armies of the horsemen was two hundred million; I heard the number of them."

6. PEOPLE WILL BE TRAVELING AROUND THE EARTH -- Billy Graham was quoted as saying, "ninety percent of all the engineers and scientists who have ever lived are alive today." Air travel, space travel, DNA research and human cloning are all examples of the rapid increase in knowledge in our generation.

Daniel 12:4 "But as for you, Daniel, conceal these words and seal up the book until the end of time; many will go back and forth, and knowledge will increase."

7. TECHNOLOGY FOR THE MARK OF THE BEAST - On May 10, three members of a family in Florida became the first people to receive the biochip implant. Each device, made of silicon and called a VeriChip, is a small radio transmitter about the size of a piece of rice that is injected under a person's skin. It transmits a unique personal ID number whenever it is within a few feet of a special receiver unit. VeriChip's maker describes it as "a miniaturized, implantable, radio frequency identification device (RFID) that can be used in a variety of security, emergency and healthcare applications."

Well, looked at the footage thinking it was a bust and wala...here is our commercial for the Superbowl. This will be played throughout the American Forces Network in Europe for a YOUDOIT competition. YOu see, we can't see American commercials here by law...so they said they were tired of the complaining and told the people to send in anything...

Magazine and promotion

Hello all... I have finished the latest edition of the ECHO magazine. I have been the editor of this magazine for almost a year now... This one was developed from scratch with one thought...make it simple.
Also, for those who might not know, I interviewed for the Public Affairs Officer position here, which is a GS-12 slot...similar to a Major in the military. It was a strange and difficult process, but did receive the promotion. This is a significant increase in responsibility and pay.
I give all of the credit to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Only He could have orchestrated this past year. He moved me out of the Marine Corps where He promoted me to Master Sergeant, God gave me a job in Germany at the most beautiful spot in the world, then, in record time, promoted me from GS-9 to GS-12. This is ALL GOD's GRACE.

Two of my favorite words in the Bible

TWO KEY WORDS TO GLORY

After struggling with what to preach a few weeks ago...I kept hearing in my mind to talk about two words which made a tremendous impact in my life...words which hit me at a moment where I was constantly in fear of making mistakes.

Before I tell you the words...let me tell you why the "two words" were important. There were times when it would seem like I disgraced my family, times where I let people in the church down, times where my mouth got in the way, the preaching was too "showy" vice "Holy Spirit" led, I was doing 7 things in the church and leaving the family alone, times where I did not tell someone about Jesus who passed away... just felt like a big failure.

Peter did this all the time. He told Jesus to stop talking about His coming death, blurted out that a church should be built based on experience, walked on water but took his eyes off of Jesus and fell in the water, but his biggest failure was cursing and telling people he didn't know Jesus...what made it worse was that JESUS looked at Peter right when Peter cursed. Peter ran and "wept bitterly."

I have had people come seconds away from praying to receive Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior, and you know what they said, "I can't pray because God would never accept me after all the things that I have done." Well, let's dispel that MYTH and LIE right now.

TWO WORDS THAT CHANGED A LIFE

So, here is Peter, crying and feeling as a complete failure. Three days later Jesus' tomb was empty. He had risen from the dead. The angel told the women to go get the Disciples AND PETER.

Did you read that... Here is the verse "But go, tell His disciples and Peter, 'He is going ahead of you to Galilee; there you will see Him, just as He told you.'" Mark 16:7

AND PETER
God made sure to tell the angel to mention Peter when talking of the risen Lord. How about that. The guy who cursed Jesus was loved by God. He was specifically pointed out by the angel. Can you imagine Peter in the corner of the room with all the disciples. He was probably thinking "How could God ever forgive me for what I have done." The other disciples were probably thinking "Oh man, stay away from Peter" He messed up bad.

Then Mary runs in and says, Jesus is risen...I was sent to tell the disciples and specifically PETER. WOW!!! Oh how God loves you and me. No matter how bad you are or think you are, there is room at the cross for THEE.

Hayden...my cousin...last few hours

Well, here is a picture of my cousins in AZ...Colin and Hayden(right). Hayden has been in the hospital for more than 45 days and today he is supposed is thought to be his last day on earth before going home to be with the Lord. I am still hoping for a miracle from God... we had a lot of time together as little ones... I had the privilege of seeing him again during a cross-country visit and during my grandmother's funeral a few years ago. He was glowing. We had a blast together ...almost like kids... he was smiling and still the same wonderful, fun-loving, easy to get a long with guy.
I regret not flying to see him for a hunting lesson...something I promised to do but never made the trip. Oh this is hard.. I love you Hayden...

WASHINGTON - Fox News analyst Brit Hume says he doesn't regret urging Tiger Woods to become a Christian so the golfer can find forgiveness for marital infidelity.

Hume told CBN News that "Christianity is a religion for sinners -- and I think that Tiger Woods has an opportunity here, and my prayer would be that he would take it." Hume has been denounced for saying that he doesn't think the famous golfer's belief in Buddhism "offers the kind of forgiveness and redemption that is offered by the Christian faith." (See earlier article) The longtime journalist said he wasn't surprised that the remark aroused controversy. "If you're trying to find the two most explosive words in the English language, those two words are 'Jesus Christ,'" he stated. He recognizes that openly expressing faith in Jesus Christ offends a lot of people. "People rage about this," he said. "It's very offensive to those who don't share the faith, [and] it's offensive to some people who claim they do share the faith. This is to be expected, and it has been happening to people who proclaim their faith in Christ for as long as anybody can remember -- this is part of the deal."

Hume described how he became a Christian. "Eleven years ago, my son committed suicide," he shared. "And as you can imagine, it was absolutely devastating. And yet throughout that whole horrible time, I had this sense that God was there for me, that he would rescue me, that he would save me -- and he did." The news analyst said he was deeply moved by the hundreds of letters of condolence he received after that tragedy. "I felt that I was seeing in them the face of God," he recalled, "and I felt that it was time for me now to face up to the Christian faith which I purported to belong to, and try to face up to the implications of what I purported to believe -- and I've been trying ever since."

Funny how this time of the year brings back so many memories... one of them in particular is a conversation I had with someone close to us.
This person asked "You mean you don't let your kids know about Santa!?"
I said, "That's right."
This person decided to yell and tell me why I was crazy, etc. After this Christian who attended church finally stopped.
I asked "Why do you want to lie to the children? What if they say, well they lied about Santa..guess Jesus is a lie too?"
The person hung up.
The person called back. Still angry yet calm... continued to tell me I was wrong. I thanked ... for the concern and then asked the question that hit the nerve.
I have never seen you this adamant and defensive over a make believe person WHO is completely opposite from Jesus, like Satan. Why don't you defend Jesus like this and tell others about Christ with the same passion during Christmas?"
She hung up.
The story does not end. That Christmas, the person was in tears as her children walked in the living room and ran back to their room. Those gifts were very expensive. The kids said, "That is not what I asked Santa for."

Is it any wonder how easy it will be for the Anti Christ to enter the world. People spend a great deal of hot air defending a satanic figure known as Santa...yet won't spend a second on the Savior, the real meaning of Christmas.

Guys, Through all of our doubts, through all of our struggles, through all of our good times...there is one thing that keeps becoming more apparent each day. God’s GRACE! He continues to love us, take care of us, guide us and help no matter what circumstance. We had a wonderful time this weekend at the outreach. We had turkey, then went to the German Christmas market...oh wow! ...the boys went on rides, a woman sang like she was in heaven, we shopped and just ran around the cobble stone road with the kids. WE then played songs all day in the streets of Wiesbaden. The teens, Brandon and Anthony, hung out with the Calvary Chapel Bible College guys (who later spent the night at our house) and Rafael and Noah handed out flyers about Christ.

Here is the story....

Where is Art Carney when you need him? The straight man for the classic Honeymooners TV show could deliver a line sorely needed at today's (Oct. 7) Supreme Court hearing on the fate of the Mojave Desert war memorial cross: "Simmer down, Ralphie boy!" In this case, Ralphie is Frank Buono, a man who has gone to absurd lengths to find offense. In fact, it's reminiscent of the false knock on the Puritans that they above all else feared that someone, somewhere was having a good time. In Frankie's case, he apparently fears that someone, somewhere might take comfort in a cross erected to honor America's fallen heroes.

At issue in Salazar v. Buono is the five-foot-tall (estimates vary) cross that is the latest in a series of crosses erected on Sunrise Rock since 1934 in California's Mojave National Preserve. The original was built by World War I veterans with the Veterans of Foreign Wars who had gone to the desert for their health and decided to honor their fallen comrades and the rest of America's war dead by erecting a wooden cross. The current one, made of pipe, was built in 1998 by a local resident, Henry Sandoz. The cross is in a remote region seen by few. But one of those is Buono, a former Park Service employee and ACLU member who told the ACLU that although he moved to Oregon, he comes down and sees the cross "two to four times a year." That was enough for the ACLU to file a lawsuit in 2001 demanding that the National Park Service tear down the cross. A quick comparison. In Berlin, Ronald Reagan thrilled millions by saying "Mr. Gorbachev, tear down this wall!" The ACLU, on the other hand, squeals loudly, "Courts, tear down this cross!" Whose country would you rather live in? In 2004, Congress passed laws designating the site as a national war memorial and swapping the land on which the cross stands for some privately owned acreage. But Mr. Buono, whose complaint was that a cross on taxpayer-owned federal land violated his First Amendment right against establishment of religion, filed an injunction halting the transfer. He claims that he's an injured party although the government gave him relief on his original request: "Stop saying 'yes' to my demands, or I'll sue!" Naturally, the wacky Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit in San Francisco found merit in his argument, bringing us to the Oct. 7 hearing before the U.S. Supreme Court. Park officials years ago covered the cross in canvas lest the sight of it burn Mr. Buono's eyes on one of his strolls. After some patriot tore off the canvas, the cross was covered in a plywood box. Could there be a more apt symbol of what the ACLU wants to do to religion in this country? C.S. Lewis once remarked that the agenda of the Left is to make pornography public and religion private, a goal clearly reflected in the ACLU's endless string of nuisance cases. They've gained a lot of ground. While America is awash in Internet porn and ever-more coarse trash on TV, an obscure cross honoring our war dead gets hammered into a box. In June, the American Civil Rights Union (ACRU), an antidote to the ACLU, filed an amicus brief that says Mr. Buono has no standing in this case because he is claiming injury based on his own injunction that has foiled the relief that he had sought. The brief by ACRU attorneys Peter Ferrara and Ken Klukowski observes that,
"It is therefore not an end to taxpayer support for the cross that Mr. Buono seeks, but rather to employ judicial power to compel the executive branch to destroy this war memorial. Standing doctrine should not be construed to empower plaintiffs to use the courts to convert the executive branch into a demolition crew that levels crosses to the ground."
The VFW and many other groups also have submitted briefs in defense of the cross. There is much at stake. An ACLU victory could imperil crosses and Stars of David on the graves of soldiers in 22 war memorial cemeteries and encourage the ACLU to look for yet more targets. They are still trying to tear down the 29-foot Mt. Soledad Veterans Memorial Cross near San Diego. In recent years, they've sued to have religious symbols removed from the seals of Stow, Ohio; Redlands, California; Duluth, Minnesota; Plattsmouth, Nebraska; and Republic, Missouri. In Los Angeles, the mere threat of an ACLU lawsuit motivated the County Board of Supervisors to vote to remove a cross from the county seal in 2004 despite the wishes of 94 percent of the residents. This past week, the Pentagon reported that eight more American soldiers were killed in Afghanistan. They paid the ultimate price defending freedom and America's security. What do you think their fathers, mothers, wives, and children would say if they came upon that cross covered up in a box?

Well, it was a closed chapter to the visit today. They left Frankfurt Airport with beautiful weather. It was perfect each and every day. We closed the second week with a visit to Bastogne, Belgium..the site of the Battle of the Bulge. We then drove through Luxembourg, visited Trier, the oldest city in Germany...visited Frankfurt and closed with Heidelberg.

The mountains, the lakes, the boat rides in Venice and the scenic drive thru Switzerland...WOW!!! WE had a wonderful time this week exploring southern Germany. We started with a very sad visit to Dachau, one of the concentration camps used in WWII, then it was off to Austria. The next day we headed to Lake Garda, Italy, unbelievable!!! We headed out the next day for a day in Venice. We then took the scenic drive through Switzerland.

God laid on my heart to preach a message at church yesterday from 2 Samuel 6...David bringing the Glory of God...the wrong way (his way) and then after he read the scriptures for 3 months figured out the right way. He was a man after God's own heart... not because he was perfect..because through his constant mistakes and imperfection, turned to GOD in every situation. If it wasn't for Christ allowing us to always come back to Him with all of our pain...or all of our serious mistakes... well, I personally wouldn't be preaching.

After the message several people came up and shared their pain...Praise the Lord!!!

Well, God placed on our heart to start a youth night at Calvary Chapel Wiebaden. Pastor Ron and his wife Uli were gracious enough to get the church open and flyers out...and, thinking nobody would show up...a whole bunch came. Well, we met for the second time last night with visitors and someone prayed to receive Christ... We had a blast. Please pray for us as we know the enemy hates it when people follow Christ, especially in this dark land. God bless. We have been learning from Genesis 1-3 about how the world became so messed up, why evolution is designed by Satan to destroy the message of Christ. All4Good.

WHICH ONE represents America?

Let's think about this. If I am down and out, and I have no money and can't find a job ... I have kids, single parent, living in a poor neighborhood in a crime-ridden area ... WELL<>

What am I getting at?

I was watching my favorite tear-jerker show of all time, Extreme Makeover about a guy named Bernard MacFarland. This guy spends everyday of his life taking care of his three sons, taking care of his community and reaching out to all of the kids who could get messed up on drugs and look for free handouts from ACORN (the most corrupt Oba.. administration in the world, get to that in a moment). All four the guys use one bathroom with one spicket to take baths, wash hands and brush the teeth. Their house is falling apart. He continued to lift his boys up and fight for them through what I believe is full obedience and FAITH in Christ our Lord. (He kept using the word "blessed" and prayed with his boys in the kitchen) Here is an excerpt

His mission: to reduce both the rising violence in the neighborhood and the number of kids dropping out of school. Right after this show I turned to our one news channel in Germany which happens to be FoxNews at 11 p.m. GLENN BECK, plays a tape of 20-year-old girl and 25-year-old politician seeking money from Acorn (on hidden camera) for a house because the bank won't give them money. He is a pimp and she is a prostitute. The Acorn staff, knowing full well that they are involved in illegal activity, helps them get a house for the prostitution to continue. To get around the tax law, they simply tell her to call her business "performing arts." Well, the undervover journalist and politician continue telling the ACORN ladies that they have 13 girls coming from El Salvador to live in the house for prostitution purposes. They simply tell them to claim a few as dependents to get more money. THE CATCH.... The reporter-prostitute said they were 13-year-old girls. THE ACORN STAFF DIDN'T CARE. His show is attracting 1 out of every 100 American viewers, and he is breaking records on the number of viewers to his wonderful show. I, personally, stopped watching political-type stuff after the election because I knew our Nation would fall with the current radical, communist administration that took over...so I have been trying to ignore it. Well, I have family members in the states who are being affected now. They are living among the anger, those who have lost jobs, those in hospitals who are being told they will not get a raise next year...and more.

Abraham...go to a place I have for you. Abraham was told by God to leave his town, his surroundings and his family (brothers, sis, mom, dad) for another country so he could be blessed. Abraham picked up and left in obedience. Almost a year after being told to "Go"...the first real touch of the future hit... the first magazine. This was the first time that I had ever completely put a magazine together. Almost all of the years in Public Affairs have been in supervisory-type positions...

July 30, 2009 (LifeSiteNews.com) - Last week Florida Gators Quarterback Tim Tebow’s photo may have graced the cover of Sports Illustrated, the same magazine that is best known for its annual “swimsuit issue,” but the contrast between the two cover stories couldn’t have been more glaring.
At 21 years of age and graced with boyish good looks, Tebow is one of the most talked about rising stars of the NCAA; but the football superstar literally left reporters speechless last week when he answered a question during a press conference about whether or not he is “saving himself” for marriage.
“Yes I am,” said Tebow briefly, who then indicated he was ready for the next question. However, in the video of the press conference, a reporter is heard stumbling over his words in the background as he tries to ask a follow-up question. Tebow then laughs, obviously reacting to the reactions of the reporters in the room.
“I think y’all were stunned by that,” he says. “Y’all can’t even ask a question. Wow. I mean, I was ready for that question. I don’t think y’all were.”
It wasn’t the only controversial remark that Tebow made that day. In response to another question about whether or not people may be tired of the volume of coverage devoted to the young football star, Tebow, a devout Christian, said that the level of exposure he receives is a mixed blessing. However, he said, he looks at the positive side that, thanks to his fame, he has been able to share his Christian faith with so many people.
In addition, the football star told the reporters that he believes that the publicity given to his mother’s story has helped other women choose not to abort their unborn children. Tebow’s mother, who serves as a Christian missionary together with her husband, was pressured to abort Tebow following a life-threatening infection she suffered while pregnant with him. Doctors pressured her to abort her son to save her own life, but she ultimately resisted the pressure and both mother and child survived the birth.
“There has been a lot of people that have been encouraged not to have an abortion because they heard the story of my mom, or they have been encouraged because they have heard me give my faith on TV or in a report or something,” said Tebow.
“You know what, although there has been a backlash, oh, well. You know what, I’ll deal with it if I have to. It’s not a big deal to me because of the kids and people that have been encouraged by the stories we have tried to tell and by the life that I’ve tried to live.”
Growing up Tebow would often help his parents with their Christian mission work in the Philippines. He was homeschooled by his mother, who instilled in her children strong Christian values.
Tebow was the first home-schooled athlete to be nominated for the Heisman Trophy. “That’s really cool,” he said at the time. “A lot of times people have this stereotype of homeschoolers as not very athletic - it’s like, go win a spelling bee or something like that - it’s an honor for me to be the first one to do that.”

Folks, how wonderful it was to finally worship the Lord in the center of Wiesbaden. It has been more than 3 years since our family has been able to do this...since the last time was in Okinawa. So many Germans stopped, listened, asked questions... and it was wonderful. The family enjoyed the beautiful weather, the kids enjoyed giving out free refreshments in the little trailer.. it was a total blessing. Please pray that we would find a speaker system to use in the streets next time...

I know some don't like political stuff mixed with a Christian atmosphere... I feel it is important to keep up with what is going on in the world, which makes the Bible come to life and we can see the things predicted in scripture actually come to life. Jesus was always using things that were in the world in his stories...things people can relate to. Many say that Obama is the Antichrist... I say he is a picture of the Antichrist. He has the look, the answers, the things that people want to hear, but he is a liar and the father of lies is SATAN. One of the things I find interesting is how easy it is for the world to follow him....similar to those who follow the Word of Faith movement, Mormonism, Jehovah Witnesses and the list goes on. (Sounds like a picture of the end times...many will want to hear things that are good for them rather than follow the truth of scripture, itching ears, Israel will be attacked and no one will be there to defend them.. NOT EVEN AMERICA . thanks to oba... )

We stayed with our landlord in Germany for a few days. They practically worshiped that man. I asked them where they got their information from... THE MEDIA. The media..they are people. They can lie to. I started telling them the truth about that man...thought they were going to have a heart attack. This led to conversations about Christianity and faith.

Oh, so close to heading HOME to HEAVEN. Thank God.

We headed to southern Germany and Austria for a few days with Allison and Derek.. what a beautiful site... one of the first places we hit was the castle that inspired Disney...Neuschweinstein... we went inside also.. it was a perfect day... Thank you Lord!! Then we headed to Garmisch and stayed next to the tallest peak in Germany and then we headed to Saulzburg, Austria where they filmed The Sound of Music...

Oh, how awesome it was to hear, over and over again, that Jesus Christ is the Savior of the world and that Michael would have to take a knee to the King of Kings. Although there were many who were off on their theology, the fact is, if people watched the memorial service and did not want to know why people kept talking about Jesus, instead of always Michael... stand by. Again, we were amazed to find that the golf course is one of the most beautiful courses I have ever seen. They are having free buckets for kids month so we decided to stop by. Golf used to my idol...so there is fear in coming back to this... but the boys begged, we went and the view was amazing. I was also pleasantly surprised to see the boys hit the ball so well. Might be the fact that we play on the Wii all the time.. so they have the basics down...ha. Rafael sends a ball on a long journey as Noah in the back gets ready to hit.

Funny that my boss pointed out something in front of everyone the other day as we were moving to a new building. He said something like, Larry, Christ is moving our furniture. That must be a sign. And it might be a sign from Heaven because Heilbronn in German means Heavenly.

We continued to joke around and I said, "I can finally say we have been delivered by Christ." To my surprise the Soldiers and my boss erupted in laughter. That is the first time we have all been able to share Christ openly without tension... through a box and prayer. All4Good

Days after posting a story about Muslims taking over the world, I purchased an audiobook Breakthrough: The Return of Hope to the Middle East. It was an amazing journey through a pastor's life in leaving his church in America and taking 6 children to the Middle East to be a missionary... right after 9/11. He had no ties to that world, just a man called by God to Go! He was, of course, ridiculed and persecuted by his own family members and church friends for making such an unwise decision. (Funny, one of my family members told me "That is not work, you need to get a real job. I am so glad my husband worked so hard to support me." It broke my heart and I explained that it was the greatest work in the world...it didn't matter)
The book showed how Muslims are turning to Christ in the millions. They are tired of the false Satanic religion and are seeing things most Americans may never see today. They are hungry for truth there...the pastor shares the stories of the people coming to Christ from Imam's, teachers of Islam, to very intelligent, koran-memorized men who dramatically change to Christ.
Only Christ can bring peace to our lives. It challenged me to think about our lives. How many of us share Christ with those who are a heartbeat away from eternity away from God? It is soooo awesome to see people turn to Christ. I must confess, it has been years since I have shared my faith in Christ... it hurts.
One other cool thing about this book: It spells out the system of Muslim belief in a simple way. It also shares how people start conversations with them.

You know, it is something to think how lonely it is to be so far away from everyone... it is easy to be fooled in thinking that there is nothing to do here, that you will no longer have people to talk with about God.. this week God put a family on facebook who was looking to go to Calvary Chapel... they never really knew about it, but have been passing it in California. They are going this Sunday and are very excited.
I also received information from a friend in the states about some hard times...now that person is going to one of our favorite churches this Sunday. So, even when it seems hopeless .. God provides a way. This week we connected with old friends, received love and support, had great conversations about the Lord, received word that our friends are coming to Germany to visit us, that my parents are coming later on ... it is ALL4GOOD...

Facebook has been a blessing... we have been reconnecting with so many friends and family... One of those families we have been blessed to find is the Serrano family. I will post the Juarez family picture later. When we were in Iwakuni going through tough times and looking for answers ... along came Faith Baptist Church in Iwakuni where Mona accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior. The ladies took her in and built the foundation .. Marie Serrano was one of the key ladies involved in this. Joe was a Chief Warrant Officer in the Marine Corps and was a new Christian at the time ... I was saved years before, but was never taught how valuable the Bible truly was until we entered the doors with Pastor Zane Abbott and Burma, his wife. As I was reading the update on Facebook... tears, joy and longing to be in full time ministry overwhelmed my body.

Joe and I have great memories together. He taught me many things .. on of those was standing for Christ at work as a Marine. There are many Marines who attend church, but who do not live for Christ day in and day out. He did. He would tell stories on how Christ would come through for him in difficult situations... like the time that he asked a Full Bird Colonel to set the example for the Air Station by being the first to give up the keys to his government vehicle.. to save money. WOW!!!

But our fondest memory stems from our fear the first night we did visitation. Pastor Abbott sent us on a journey to visit people who had been coming to the church. We were told to ask one particular family if they would start coming on Sunday night and Wednesday night. Joe and I sat in the van, prayed REAL HARD .. we weren't sure how to go about this task without offending the family. Knock, Knock.. The guy answered.. he was a Master Gunnery Sergeant. After some small talk, fidgeting, me praying, Joe talking... GOD STEPPED IN. The guy asked us a question... "Hey, how come you guys don't go over the church budget?"

Joe said, "We do on Wednesday nights." The guy said, "oh."

The guy asked, "Hey, how come my kids don't have a special to show their talents in church."

Joe said, "We do on Sunday nights." The guy said, "oh."

We didn't have to do a thing. We got in the van and rejoiced.. and prayed and were thankful and it was then that we started to realize, through such a small circumstance, that God is awesome.

Now Joe, years later, is a pastor in El Paso...doing a great work for the Lord... and they are supporting many Army families too. We miss them so much...

this is a very interesting perspective from one of my favorite news sites.(Click Below) It speaks directly to what we are seeing around the world. After traveling around the world all of these years and now living in Europe and having studied Religion (my major).. it is apparent that this is happening. People make fun of our family all of the time for being so large, (especially Christians) ... they see it as a disgrace and as "crazy." Yet, look at the Muslims who don't follow a real God...they actually don't thrive on materialism, but family. Most in America see small family as great t... it is sad, our nation is failing... stand by for infiltration by the Muslims and our children's children to be away from Christ for fear of their very life... STAND BY!!! .. Actually, look around... how many people truly live for Christ first? Less than 5 percent of Americans... How sad...

Hey guys, I was excited when he let me share this picture and the story...meet my new boss, Kristopher Joseph. He is a new father of twin girls with a wonderful wife from Germany..(names left off for security) You would never guess what happened as we were assigned to cover an assignment about 4 hours drive from here. I know, those who know Larry, uh oh...that is too long with him.. Anyway, somehow we started talking about Christ....oh yeah, he went to a Christian College in Southern California. Then, out of the sky, it happened... he said there was only one church he went to that was real and he looked forward to each week... guess where that was... He said, "I went to The Harvest with a pastor named Greg Laurie...do you know Greg Laurie?" I was so excited. Kris also loves Calvary Chapel style... Please lift a prayer up for this new family as they take this wonderful journey as parents. Kris is a gifted music writer and guitar player...that his Christian songs would soon make it into people's lives.

A Christian group, Etribe (Eternal Tribe), from California came to Germany for 2 weeks...singing in the streets, in bars, in churches...what a blessing. They were from Calvary Chapels throughout Southern California. One of the greatest stories was when a pastor was looking for a place for them to stay...a pub owner said they could stay in his hotel and play in his pub. They put fliers everywhere to announce them. Well, the Germans had never heard WORSHIP music before. The lead singer felt led to ask if anyone wanted to accept Christ...the bar owner's wife slipped her had up in tears. Praise the LORD!!!

For those who are on Facebook...I do not have access to the facebook page until I get a connection in our new home in Germany. It is frustrating. I can post to my blog at work...so hope everyone understands. I cannot send replies on facebook, unless you provide an email to you..I have a lot of messages on facebook...yet I cannot reply.
Please pray for us as we are heading into a big test...our landlord was not forthright with information concerning the state of the house. We want to do the right thing, but it is very frustrating...had a hard weekend...we are in a house still under construction and have help from the housing office. Please know we want to be able to communicate with everyone again...this will take time...

Spring is is the air...and we enjoyed it...finally. Cherry blossoms, lunch at a Japanese restaurant, walking through Heidelberg, visiting a castle...and they family loved it. One month in the hotel...and this is better than just a visit...it is what the doctor ordered....
Just watched Selena the movie again...I never knew that her dad couldn't find a job, that they were stuck in a house with 13 kids, that they were destined to hit it..but in the middle of it all the encouraging thing was the Dad kept saying he saw something in his family.... WOW

A group of churches gather together to witness in the streets..and serve free food and coffee...it was cold, rainy and more... but we had a great time of fellowship and met other pastors. Larry had the opportunity to preach at CC Wiesbaden Sunday Morning. What a true blessing to see young men and women gather to study God's word.

Ron is the pastor...with his wife Uli... we went to the Tuesday night bible study in a home and man was it great. Young men from Germany all soaking up God's word and ...all very humble and wonderful.

We were blessed to spend the day with Jeremy and Chevon and their boys...and their future girl... We went to Speyer, Germany, visiting an underwater museum, eating steak and potatoes...in a wonderful German restaurant...and we ended it by running through an abandoned airplane suspended 150 feet in the air...sliding down the near-vertical slide to the ground... WOW!!! Saw the space shuttle and some old cars ...hit the IMAX for a nap... We found a house... it is what we prayed for... on the mountain, next to a castle, with a big kitchen. 8 rooms so we can have visitors.. thanks for the prayers...

10 bags, 3 car seats...a whole bunch of people staring...yet the prayers were answered. The luggage moved easily, the boys were well behaved, the people arrived to support us. Our reservations at the hotel were not there...and they said they had no more rooms, but miraculously there were two cancellations an hour later and we are in two suites at the Army Lodge. After much sleep, emotional turmoil, prayer, bible reading and walking the streets...we are feeling better. Now I have to figure out what to do next, no car, no way to get to work, no sticker to buy food at the commissary or PX...not sure what to do... but will have to figure it out. Thank you for the support.
