It was a blessing to see our friends who we have not seen for 15 years. WOW. We love them, cherish their friendship and hope to be together someday as we get older. They were our guiding light when things were down. Thank you Lord for their Christian walk and examples of love, selfless devotion and just plain kindnes...Andy and Melinda

We hit history...big time. I want the boys to know the importance of our history as American schools no longer teach the proper history. It is better to be there. Better yet, we had a devotion dedicated to spiritual warfare. Look at the battlefield, what do you see? Noah said forest, Rafael said rocks, Anthony said the lines of the battlefield and Brandon said dead people. WOW!!! They all saw something different. WE all have a role in life that is given by God. The enemy wants us to stop using our gifts, get our minds off of the battle and live life with our guard down. Someday the battle will come for our family, we must pray to have it stay strong. What a good devotion from the Lord today.
The packing is done, we are officially homeless. It was an emotional rollercoaster for us this past week as we watched our stuff get packed and realized that Germany is on the horizon...for real. No more talk...it is really happening. Only God knew how it would all turn out. Because of this, we believe the Lord laid on our heart to take the family away for awhile to make it easier, to relax...to enjoy each other before the next phase of our life kicks in. So we hit the Wolf Lodge in Virginia...wow. Indoor water parks are great...especially when we can all have fun.

What a busy week...wow...can't believe 20 years of the Corps is finally behind...to end it on a birthday going into the 40th year is even greater. I have often said that the Bible is filled with examples of men starting their next journey in life heading into their 40th year. Some go to the desert and others end up on top of the world. God is truly amazing. Thank you all for your kindness, prayers, help, support, tears of joy and examples of life living for our Savior. If it wasn't for Christ, we wouldn't have a family...wouldn't have retired...wouldn't be heading to Germany. "We know that all things work together for GOOD to those who love the Lord..." not Mary, money, the disciples..the saints...ONLY JESUS!!!!!!
