On National News - FoxNews
OK...check this out. This Marine, SSgt. Lawrence Dean,(The Guy in the middle) sang a poem, it ended up on Youtube, then he got hundreds of thousands of hits, then FoxNews got ahold of it. WEll, I ended up getting a call. They wanted him on the Sheperd Smith Show on Foxnews. We needed to get to Raleigh, NC ...a 3 hour drive. They said "We will call you a car." Now we thought that meant a rental car. I figured it out later and met the driver at the front gate. Diva Limos picked us up in a Lincoln Town Car, Executive style. The drive was nice and said his favorite guy to drive was James Earl Jones. Can you believe it? Anyway, I was his Marine Corps AGENT...taking care of all his needs, phone calls, interviews, etc. HE is a Christian and you have to watch him on Youtube at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vBflQLa75C8

Da boyz
We are getting ready to send our family photos out for Christmas. Before the pros...we took pics in the living room. I am so overwhelmed by God's grace and mercy...so many know what our family has been through and it is only by God's grace...unending love...that we can see four boys together, smiling. Oh Lord, please use these guys for YOUR glory.

Pol Ibanez in the states
Our Missionary from the Philippines is in the states. We are so excited..we will see them next week...they will be in our home. Please pray for them as we seek the Lord for what He has in store for them. http://www.hagdanan.net/

POL AND WIFE

THEIR DAUGHTER
For those who don't know him, we met by "accident" through God in Virginia as he was going from church to church hoping for 25 dollars a month support. Well, that is a big baptist thing...
Not BAPTIST anymore. God has been doing a work in their life. The Baptist missionary place in Ohio kicked them out the other day because they found out that Pol was staying in the home of people of another denomination. Very, very bad....not only that, they kicked his 4 kids out of Bible College in the Philippines.
I said Praise the Lord. Pastor Tom Ruiz was teaching the bible students in Israel about Elijah by the brook...God cut the brook and sent him to Zarephath to the widow. Well, Zarephath means refining...Pol has left the brook and is now in refining. I firmly believe that God is going to do a mighty work through Pol.
His daughter will sing in the chapel on base next Sunday...we are looking forward to it. Please see where we can come together as a family and get them the support they need in this huge journey.

Marine Corps Ball
We had a chance to celebrate the birthday of the Marine Corps once again last night. We had a wonderful time. The best part of the night was hanging out with our friends from the chapel and Mike and his wife Denise from work. It was the first time I was able to take two girls to the ball...my wife and our future daughter...ha.

Preached...but knocked down
Well,
No pics with this one, but if you read it just know that I was deeply saddened as I found out that because of a military order that Lay Leaders are not allowed to preach in the base chapel when you are not deployed. This all occured after preaching Sunday....from Philippians 2. Two Marines lifted their hand to pray and accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior...instead of great rejoicing on earth...there was persecution...someone was upset that I led people in the "Sinner's prayer" and complained...then they found a way to stop me from preaching there.
Sometimes I believe that the reason God has put our family through so many different faith traditions is to show us, before we start our own church, why He was so upset with the "LAW GIVERS." Yet he showed so much compassion to those who had a deep desire for CHRIST.
This is pretty much a confirmation to me that the chaplaincy is not for me. I thought it would be, but this experience is showing more and more that the boundaries of mankind on sharing the gospel in the military is wrong and the more they shove "institution" instead of "organism" to refer to the body of believers...it is disappointing.
I hurt for those chaplains who want to but can't share Christ with the hurting people...He is all they need...yet...well, you know now why the military has no solution to PTSD or DIVORCE or SUICIDE...if they walk into a chapel...no way to Accept Christ there....walk into a chaplain's office...no way to accept Christ there....
What did Jesus say about this? He said in Matthew 5:10-12 :
"Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. 11"Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me. 12Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you."
