Derek in Korea ...Franklin Graham festival

As most of you know, Derek Forbes is in Korea. We were so excited to see his blog update from Korea. Here is his message...also click here to go to his blog.

Busan Franklin Graham Festival

God has moved in the city of Busan. I was blessed to be a small part of work here that saw thousands come to Christ. To give you an idea of the size, the first day there were 60,000 people at the stadium. By the time of the invitation on Sunday night, the total attendance for the four days was over 325,000 people with over 8,000 coming forward at the invitation.
Still working on getting some more pictures. I have a great camera. But I have found that in order to get great pictures, I've got to have it with me and actually use it. Well, my interpreter, Samuel, had his camera and I will be getting pictures from him soon.
Please pray for the follow-up that is now taking place with these baby Christians. There are three things we do when we are invited to a city. The first is to train Christians in personal evangelism. The second is the Festival. The third is follow-up and discipleship with those who come forward during the invitation. As of today, we are focusing on the follow-up.
One major victory for Jesus last night was when a buddist monk came forward and said with tears in his eyes, "I'm a sinner. I don't want to live my life like this anymore." The gospel is so powerful. Franklin spoke on Sunday morning during devotions about how the simple teaching of the gospel is foolishness, but it changes so many lives.
I will write some more real soon. God is moving me in a new direction that I will share when I have more details.

Worship Leader

Well, it has been a total blessing...busy..yet loving the Lord. God has allowed Larry to be the worship leader at the Cherry Point base chapel....So far it has been a wonderful experience. At 9 a.m. he has to lead the hymnal music for the liturgical service and then at 11 a.m. is the contemporary time. We started with Unchanging, Tis so sweet, Holiness and All Who are Thirsty. WE have Stefean and his wife Sarah on the keyboard. The chaplains wife Marsha sings. C.J is a young Marine who is heading to Camp find a Calvary Chapel. Anthony plays the drums for us. Please pray for Larry who has 3 college courses, leading music, a baby on the way...for time with the family, time with the Lord and that God will receive the glory for all of this.
