Psa 127:3
Lo, children [are] an heritage of the LORD: [and] the fruit of the womb [is his] reward.

Psa 127:4
As arrows [are] in the hand of a mighty man; so [are] children of the youth.

Psa 127:5
Happy [is] the man that hath his quiver full of them: they shall not be ashamed, but they shall speak with the enemies in the gate. All4Good

Calvary Chapel Okinawa

http://ccokinawa.blogspot.com/
We miss Okinawa. One of the greatest things that happened to us there was meeting Rick Barnett at Souhki's surprise Bday party.

He is the guy on the bottom right of the collage with a goatee. He is definitely a man who is in love with the Lord. We were drawn to him immediately and knew that God had called us to experience Calvary Chapel. At first, we thought it would be another Pentecostal church, but were surprised to find it is not. The music was wonderful, the preaching is word for word through scripture without the hollering and showboating. People lift their hands when singing, but most of all Rick has a love for the people and we enjoyed seeing why people were flocking there. He started by teaching a handful of people at night. He then got a call to support a local church with his teaching. He left Okinawa when it was time, but God sent him back...5 years later....about 300 people, 3 new churches started in Okinawa, a bible college and it just keeps going. He gives the credit to our Savior. Thank you Rick and your family for all that you do.

Derek, a great man

Our 5th child is coming

Folks,
We will be having our fifth child this January...We are excited and understand even more what a blessing it will be to have from God...we don't deserve or take this lightly. It has been very discouraging for the past few months to find most comments from friends, family and church giving a sigh or asking us what we were thinking...as if it were a mistake and that 5 children is such a burden. God said that we are blessed when our home is full of them. This worldview that selfish is in and that having more with less children is better is hard to hear, but a sign of how harsh we can be at times. I too make comments to those who have a few or only one...so therefore I understand what judgement feels like.
Who will pay for college? Whoever said that the parents have to pay?....is my answer to everyone. That is a world theory.
Anyway, enough of the soap box. All4good.
