Velarde visit to our home

We were unbelievably blessed to have Damian, Sandra and their children over to visit with us. They drove from Albuquerque to FL to North Carolina...way out of their way. It was the first time in our history of marriage that anyone outside of immediate family..actually took the time to come visit. We even have friends who were an hour away who never came. What a great missionary family. They encouraged us and great things happened. Mona and I will now be starting our first bible study with the local Okinawan community in our home in August..thanks to the words from Damian and Sandra. Thank you guys so much for your love and kindness. We love you.

Chapel pool party

Hot mama with Rafael and Noah.

For many who may not know, there are very few churches in the South anymore who actually preach the Word of God, verse by verse (and live it without judgmental law), and who have a passion for Spirit-filled music. It is heartbreaking. We finally gave up looking and went to the base chapel. The chaplain loves the Lord, Esther is the worship music leader on the keyboard, Sarah is behind her singing, Mike on the left loves the Lord and Joel, who is playing the Cajon, is a Christian rapper who was in the movie drumline. He is teaching Anthony the drums. Our bass player, Stefean, is not in the picture...he is a great bass player. We had a blast at the party. Oh, the pretty lady up there with the two boys is Mona...with Rafael and

Our new home

Not everyone is included in this picture, but these guys sacrificed their Saturday, the hottest day of the year so far, and helped us move off base. Larry is hugging Larry, Gary, Big MO, Chaplain Hopkins, Kyle and Steve. I started out only having one person to help me move. We ended up with 13 guys and it still took all day...WOW, only GOD!!! Thanks to Chaplain for recruiting the Marines for help.

Well, we finally moved off base to a new home. It was a very exciting process. We moved from a 1960 home at 1,000 sq.ft. to a 2007 home with 2020 sq.ft. Talk about relief. The Lord really blessed with this investment. Thank you to Jesse and his wife for helping us with this. (To clear up a few who might not understand...the governement was going to start charging everyone their housing allowance to live in those old homes, so instead of giving the government money for a home, which includes not tax breaks, no investment, etc...why not move off base for the tax break, investment, appreciation, etc.)
