Israel, Day 5

We had another packed day...Praise the Lord!!! We went to Masada early in the morning and some of us walked up to the top of the mountain...what a view...what history... We also swam in the Dead Sea....full of salt. We were floating without trying...it was strange..it felt like oil on your skin. We also went to Ein Gedi where David was hiding from King Saul...it was beautiful with waterfalls and animals.... I am having a problem with photos right now...will check with you later... Here is a photo of us singing La Bamba for our tour guide Shishana(clapping on the right). Tom and Mario sang while I played the guitar...FUN... I cannot access the other photos right now....

Visit with Pol...home again

Through a great friend, Chaplain Biadog, I was able to go to Caloocan to visit Pol and his family for a short time. We had a great time sharing in food and music and seeing their building starting to grow. He is in need of a roof as they meet under the sun or inside a small building...many cannot come due to the heat of the day there. Almost all supporters of Pol in the ministry have stopped now and it is truly a miracle of God each day that they have food and continue to move forward...under God's grace. Cpl. Harris, a Marine, joined us as we delivered food and clothes to him. To see all of the photos of the trip to the Philippines please click PHILLIPINES2006...and you will see them all. You will also see the photo of all of the people at the chapel each week where I had the opportunity to preach and sing...Brig. Gen. Robeson is on the top left.

TRIP TO CORREGIDOR Philippines

Video Sharing at DropShots.com
Hello all, I had the wonderful opportunity to visit one of the most memorable WWII sites in history...Corregidor. Please watch the video above to see a glimpse of what we saw. Gen. McArthur is a great general. I want to read more about him now. It was amazing to see such a place with so much suffering and pain involved. Please pray for me as I will have the opportunity to visit with Pastor Pol in the Philippines once again...Yes...God worked it out again. Larry

Update from Philippines

Hello to all once again. We are just about done out here for Balikatan 2006. It has been a wild ride as we had to shift our efforts to the landslide victims and then go back to the regular planned exercise. God poured out his love and grace on all of us as we were all working in the Combined Information Bureau for several days straight at a time. What a test and trial..count it all joy when you come under various trials and tribulations.... Anyway..I have posted some pics of a journey we made to Manila before the landslide. We traveled to the U.S. Embassy and I had the opportunity to see the old fort used during WWII...a lot of history there... Also put our best picture of the landslide...take care all...will return soon. You will also see how most Filiponos in the city of Manila live....they dig through the trash for food and anything of value...it is so smelly and hard to watch.
